Today, after making an illustration (the one above that I’ll show complete when the virtual expo gets launched), I was thinking that I finally lost the afraid of painting with tradicional techniques. And I remembered when I was a kid. I liked a lot to draw, but painting was a pain in the ass for me, specially with acrylics, watercolors, and anything that needs a brush. I always painted out of the lines, I didn’t know how to handle the brush, and it made me feel upset. So, I prefered painting with markers.
But, since I saw many watercolor works on Internet, I wanted to come back and defeat that monster of the “afraid of traditional”. So I practiced, and practiced… Making a lot of doodles with watercolours. Until I realized that the illustration I made today was made with watercolors, and I decided making it with these by my own. Welp, I also used some digital stuff for the background, but you get the point.
I felt proud of me and my headway.
